CCTV footage in Libby Squire search leaves shock waves in street where she was last seen - Hull Daily Mail

The footage, according to ITV News which obtained the CCTV, is believed to be forming part of the huge investigation into the suspected abduction of the 21-year-old university student. She was last seen at 12.09am on Friday, February 1, near a bench on the corner of Haworth Street and Beverley Road, with a huge search operation launched over the past week in a bid to find her. A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of abducting Libby and police have until 9.11pm tonight to either charge or release him. Watch the new footage below   Last night, CCTV partially obscured by a cobweb showed a series of events around the time Libby was last seen in the area. It is a minute slow but appears to show someone or something being placed in the passenger side of a car parked in Haworth Street. The car is then driven away from the scene with the time stamp recorded as 12.08:52am. Humberside Police's Detective Superintendent Matt Hutchinson reacted to the footage by confirming the force has looked through hundreds of hours of CCTV tapes taken from the area. However, the releasing of the footage has caused shock among residents in Haworth Street who are living just metres from where Libby was potentially abducted. A man then appears (Image: ITV) A 40-year-old woman, who did not want to be named, said: “It has been quite upsetting and if something like that did happen you would think we would have heard something but we didn’t. “You just think about the family and it must be so hard for them to see all this stuff coming and you just think, ‘where is she?’” Read More   She said police have maintained an active presence in the street by carrying out door to door enquiries with sniffer dogs even seen down the cul-de-sac off Cottingham Road. “It has been quite a while now and you want the best outcome,” she added. “The footage is literally right outside our house and you think she was potentially abducted outside our house and we didn’t hear a thing.
